Engineering Technician, Spain based / International scope

Colfax Fluid Handling Reliability Services located in La Unión, Spain is looking for Field Engineer to join its growing team. In this new position the employee will coordinate services with clients at both domestic and international levels ensuring successful project execution and completion within the defined time frames for the Reliability Services team. The Service Engineer interacts with clients including engineering firms, OEMs, and end users such as power stations, petrochemical plants and refineries. The Service Engineer participates in project Kick-Off Meetings to review technical clarifications and scope requirements. In addition, they maintain project status/communication with clients and internal RS groups while monitoring technical and timing deviations and scope changes in project documents and drawings. Common scope of work is maintenance like service or coordination of installation of our technologies. Key figures: services up to 150kEUR, projects up to 500kEUR, one week to 6 month projects, 2-8 people temas to coordinate.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute project order fulfillment.
  • Drive order from order entry to revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate key milestones and provide technical assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Serve as the point of contact person on projects and responsible for maintaining the project binders & electronic files.
  • Represent RS during internal and external kick-off meetings, engineering reviews, and coordinate/attend shop inspections.
  • Review technical and commercial specifications and note exceptions to RS standards.
  • Minimize overall project execution cycle time.
  • Define engineering scope of supply per agreed project requirements & due dates.
  • Clean, complete, and error-free documents and drawing submittals.
  • Lead and drive the internal communication process between key departments to ensure project completion and on time delivery of project orders.
  • Track and maintain project schedules, internal order processing and project status metrics.
  • Provide project summary sheet and notify internal team of product modifications.
  • Actively track and assist with weekly action plan and push meetings.
  • Responsible to submit completed paperwork in a timely manner and particularly put together and issue job reports.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required in Engineering or Technical or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an engineering environment. Oil&Gas, Power Gen experience desired, field experience in those industries and Mechanical engineering experience in general is a strong plus.
  • B2 English a must, C1 will be highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills within multicultural and global cultures.
  • Ability to work within a Team environment and be a key contributor and leader.
  • Ability to lead subcontracted technician teams and swiftly align them with our values and goals.
  • Position requires strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Develop a working knowledge of AutoCAD applications.
  • Flexible approach towards project schedules and workloads.
  • 10% Travel may be required to visit job sites and meet with overseas clients.
